Introduction:

 

During the past two weeks we have been studying unit #8 of our Touchstone Presentation 4.

In page 78 we conducted a quiz for emotional intelligence which we took individually last week and compared answers in class.

 

Task:

You will have one week for this activity in which you will conduct some research that will help you get deeper understanding of concepts related to emotional intelligence and personality traits, based on the quiz from Unit 8. Based on this research you will create a blog post in your student’s blog/portfolio.

 

 

Process:

1.  Pick 5 of the traits or behaviors mentioned in the Quiz in black bold letters (examples underlined in yellow):  
   
   
   

        2. Research the following information about each of the chosen traits:

 

-Definition (at least 4 sentences)

- A picture that illustrates it

-Two common characteristic behaviors of a person who displays that trait, for example: if you chose jealousy, two characteristic/ common behaviors of a jealous person.

-Provide two pieces of advice on how to improve that trait, if it is a negative trait how to overcome it and if you chose a positive trait advise on how to cultivate it.

- Choose one behavior or trait that you value in a person and explain why in a statement of three sentences minimum.

3. Make a blog post of your research

Use any resources you would like such as the internet, videos, magazines or books

Remember to provide bibliography or credit of the sources used.

Conclusion:

This Web Quest will give you the chance to start doing more research and expand on what is already being learned in the classroom. It is not always possible to get familiar with all concepts in one or two lessons so this web quest will give you the opportunity to expand on this topic and get comfortable expressing your opinion.
